The hint of green in this dessert was perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. I recommend cutting pretty small pieces, because it’s very decadent!
Cake Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 16oz can Hershey syrup
Beat ingredients until smooth, pour into greased 9×13 pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely.
Mint Filling:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 Tbsp Creme de Menthe
Mix until smooth and spread on cooled cake. Chill in fridge.
Chocolate Topping:
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Melt topping and stir until smooth, pour over mint mixture. Chill at least 1 hour.
I finally got around to checking out your blog.
Its really cute.
This chocolate dessert looks perfect.
I have been doing a lot of cooking lately, but have not tried any desserts for quite awhile. This looks like a winner.
I like your write up on children’s books too.
There are so many good ones out there.
I have been thinking for sometime to add a “keep ‘em reading” category to manyslices for a while now
Cheers
